UPCOMING BOOK RELEASES: 7 ARC’S I’M EAGER TO READ

Here's a peek at 7 of the NetGalley ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) reads I have been approved to review. I look forward to reading them over the coming months and I'm eagerly anticipating their publishing dates. Which of these books sounds most interesting to you?

"The Painter's Daughters" by Emily Howes

Simon & Schuster - Historical Fiction | Women's Fiction

I've always been drawn to historical stories, and this one promises to be exceptional. It is a story that follows the beloved daughters of renowned English painter Thomas Gainsborough, Peggy and Molly, who struggle to live up to the perfect image the world so admired in their portraits. With themes on love, madness, sisterly devotion, and control I already feel like it is going to suck me in. I have no sisters of my own, so I especially adore stories centered around sisterly relationships and the complicated emotions that often arise in family dynamics.

This one seems to promise just that. In this gothic suspense, an infamous heiress, Ruby McTavish Callahan Woodward Miller Kenmore, leaves a complicated inheritance behind. There is a kidnapping, an adopted child, and four husbands who mysteriously died… I’m all in!

Knopf, Pantheon, Vintage, and Anchor - History | Nonfiction

This incredible work offers a fresh perspective on the Renaissance by spotlighting the lives and extraordinary accomplishments of four women writers, shedding light on a period where women's voices were often unheard. I've always had a fondness for history, and discovering stories that give voice to overlooked figures is important. I think Shakespeare’s Sisters will be a hidden gem for certain.

The tale unfolds at a 5 star resort in Newport, Rhode Island, following Phoebe Stone, who becomes an unexpected wedding guest. This story boasts a tender exploration of surprising encounters and new beginnings. I feel there's something heartwarming about unexpected connections in the most unlikely of places, plus I work in the wedding industry - so I am eager to read The Wedding People.

"Piglet" by Lottie Hazell

Henry Holt & Company - Literary Fiction

An insightful and stylish novel following Piglet, a woman navigating life's complexities, confronting the revelations of betrayal before her wedding day, and dealing with family expectations and her relationship with food and ambition. I think what drew me to Piglet was The theme of a character finding herself amidst life's turmoil. It resonates with my own journey of self-reflection.
